Organizational Development (OD)
As a Senior Organizational Development Specialist, my mission is to creatively equip people within organizations with the knowledge, skills, and insight needed to sustain success.
Here is a list of my proficiencies as a Senior OD Specialist:
Design and develop content and programming to achieve specific organizational improvement targets (content areas of training will include: Leadership; Strategic Planning; Customer and Market Focus; Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management; Workforce and Human Resources Development; Process Management; and Results)
Deliver training and professional development in the areas of quality improvement tools, quality improvement methods, quality management, continuous improvement, project management and problem solving methods via multiple modes and methods (classroom, virtual, on-the-job, just-in-time, etc.)
Use data collection, assessment and measures to help internal clients continuously adapt and improve processes.
Help units identify, adopt and adapt appropriate best practices from other sectors.
Facilitate brainstorming and innovation/creativity sessions.
Partner with other entities to develop, align, leverage, integrate strategies and programs.
Keep it simple; make complex concepts and processes practical & easy to understand.
Promote the strategic direction of the organization, group, or team by supporting individuals, teams and departments in accomplishment of overaching goals.
Diagnose, Assess, and Implement of organization development strategies to improve organizational effectiveness and the development, implementation and evaluation of performance improvement systems for employees at all levels.
Master the ability to work under limited supervision and can be evaluated by reports, discussions and observation of results achieved.
Excellent business acumen
Possess computer literacy
Professional formal and informal presentation skills
Collaboratively prepare training budget for department/organization.
Monitor training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded.
Select optimal learning and delivery method to maximize learning – classroom, e-learning, self-study, etc.
Increase organizational effectiveness and continuously identify opportunities to increase organizational alignment.
Integrate as appropriate a variety of assessment tools into the learning solutions (may include DiSC, conflict surveys, 360 feedback instruments, etc.)
Partner with subject matter experts, vendors and other instructional designers as needed to design comprehensive solutions
Assist and/or co-lead the design of company-wide organization development initiatives such as performance management processes, succession planning processes, new employee integration efforts and internal communication processes
Proven understanding and application of OD models, theories, practices and approaches
Experience in scoping and defining OD engagements and accomplishing set timeline.
Experience working within a fast-paced, complex, multi-cultural learning organization
Ability to work proactively, independently and with high degree of autonomy
Ability to work with multiple clients simultaneously.
Ability to build effective relationships with and influence all levels within an organization
Proven experience working with and coaching senior leaders
Ability to quickly develop an understanding of key business goals, strategic objectives, drivers and critical business needs, and the ability to translate those needs into practical action plans
Ability to lead the analysis, design, development and delivery of OD initiatives to achieve intended business outcomes
